fix the problem of not allowing iTunes folders on /Volumes
This problem occurred on the Mac version:
/Volumes/MY BOOK/iTunes is not a valid iTunes folderI hope you can fix it as my iTunes library is on my external hard disk to help me save internal HDD space, and I'd very much like to use CloudFire
Status: completedFrom Apple docs, the iTunes music library file is named "iTunes Music Library.xml" and it's usually either in $HOME/Music/iTunes or $HOME/Documents/Music/iTunes - irrespective of where you store your actual music/media files.
There was a report from a user of a differently named library file - "iTunes Library.xml" versus "iTunes Music Library.xml" which may have been an older name Apple used at some point.
Either way, we have changed CloudFire to let you specify the actual file, versus just the parent iTunes folder. This way any differences in file names and/or locations from the standard ones should be supportable.

Mac client crashes
Hello,
Downloaded CloudFire today. After installing the client on OS X Tiger, starting it and inputting the user information, it scans the library for a while but soon opens a page that says:
-----

Powered by Jetty://
-----After that the client itse... more
Status: completedWe'll test with FireFox 3 RC2...In the meanwhile could you start the Console application, start CloudFire again, and send us any relevant output (email: support@cloudfireit.com). The Console application is under /Applications/Utilities.
Cheers,
Ash

Photos don't show when iPhoto uses links
iPhoto has an option of not copying imported files but rather linking to them. CloudFire is not able to currently resolve these links and results in blank or broken images.

why arent my music files showing on my CloudFire?
My CloudFire says it "has found 100 photos, 21 movies, and 5644 music tracks" but none of the music tracks are showing on my CloudFire library?
Status: completedSorry, we should have probably taken out any mention of music from that page. We've decided to treat media in the following order, photos, videos, then music. We feel pretty comfortable with photo handling, and are currently wrapping up videos. Music is next on deck.

There is no refresh/detect new folders mechanism in place today. When new photos are added, CloudFire needs to be restarted.

After a while thumbnails don't match video
Status: completediTunes reorganizes it's database whenever you add new content and we found we can't rely on just a track's id but rather need to use a track's persistent id. Otherwise, CloudFire generated thumbnails get out of sync.
A fix is on the way.

Improve photo quality (Windows version)
Small thumbnails and Original look great...everything else is choppy...
Status: completedIssue has to do with our use of a thumbnailer that's optimized for small thumbnails only. We are putting an interim fix that will improve the quality significantly with an even "sharper" improvement to follow.
